Who should use our design services?
Our design services are for customers who want to have a custom design for their irrigation system that they can take anywhere. Whether you are a DIY Person looking to install it yourself or you are someone who either has a contractor already or is looking to shop around our design services can get you started in the right direction.
Why use a design service?
Because of the competitive nature of the irrigation installation industry many contractors focus on the how of irrigation rather than the why. Often times zones will be stretched to, or even beyond, their maximum operating capacity. This results in a system that may work properly only 80% of the time. Drought conditions, future landscape growth or changes, and even exposure to sunlight are often not considered in the design process resulting in a system that works great when you don't really need it but falls short when you do! Having a design to take to your contractor also helps you in making sure you are getting an apples to apples comparison when getting quotes on price.

Because so many factors are needed to be considered when designing a system you need a seasoned professional with not only design knowledge, but also maintenance, installation, landscape, and sometimes even construction knowledge. Our design team has real world experience in all those areas so we can provide you with a design that you know was done with the future in mind.
The Badgerland Design Process
Initial Contact
A member of our team will reach out to you to discuss our design process, fees, and to set up an initial consultation appointment.
Pre-Design Consultation
Your designer will meet with you on-site to discuss what you want you want to achieve with your system. The will go over specific areas you want irrigated and what your current and future plans are for those areas. Your designer will then gather information about your water service capacity and site conditions. They will also take measurements of your property at this time as well and answer any questions you have.
Design
Based on the information gathered your designer will then return to the office and begin your system design. Here they will design a system using all the gathered information. The primary focus of the designer will be to create a system that is serviceable, high quality, water efficient, expandable in the future, and can support reasonable run times in drought conditions.
Design Finalization and Submittal
After our designer has competed the initial design it will be reviewed and any changes or updates needed will be made. Upon finalization your design will be emailed to you in PDF format and a release document allowing you to take that design and do anything you wish with it. If you have opted into one of our premium design packages you will be provided with the additional information such as Scheduling Info, Part Lists, Nozzle Charts, Etc
